Former Minister Chan Chun Sing in his rally speech claimed that the poor in Singapore do not need money and that money is not going to help them, rather, the poor need care and concern.

“Many think just because you give money you can solve the problem. No. If you have walked the ground and talked to community leaders, you’ll know better. They need care. They need concern.”

The PAP candidate for Tanjong Pagar GRC also shot down the Reform Party’s proposal to give $300 a month to every child below 16, $500 a month to seniors above 65, claiming that this is not “the way we do business in this government”.

RP is proposing the Angmo welfare system. I think its a good idea. SGP is loaded we can afford it. Developed economy like SGP viturally has no welfare system.

1.So that you don't see kids no money to go to school or skip lunch or breakfast.

2. And feedble old people dun have to handout leaflets or collect cardboards just to survive.

3. There are really elderly who are not smart in making monies because of no education when they were young. Read point 1.

I rather tax dollars be spent in our children and elderly than Ho Ching shopping spree to buy out real estates in like India.
