Yeah if it is a normal marriage and the child is a product of the marriage then the wife really gained nothing out of this marriage. But this was not the case. So the man could be taking advantage or genuine love or a mix of both, who knows? On the other hand, the woman could be doing the same too, isn't it? To take advantage of him for official status of the child and to avoid stigma of unmarried single mother. It is hardest to look after baby even with maid, now that the child is older and easy to take care, the man was no more useful and could be divorced and that explains his anger, who knows?
