Beware of CashCard glitch

I PARKED my car at Changi Airport one day in March this year while I flew to Kuala Lumpur and returned the same day.
Before exiting the carpark, I ensured that there were enough funds in my CashCard for the carpark payment.
I had a balance of $44.66 when I drove towards the exit.
The screen at the barrier showed a fee of $20 when I pushed the receipt button to obtain an official receipt so I could claim this expense from my company.
However, on my leaving the carpark, I was shocked to find that the balance on my CashCard was only $4.66. Obviously, $40 was deducted from my card instead of $20 as indicated on both the electronic screen and on the printed receipt.
I raised my concern with Nets and was told after a month of waiting - and with numerous reminders in between on the phone - that Nets still had not come to a conclusion but was willing to refund me the 'missing' $20 on a goodwill basis.
From that day, I have always made it a point to get a receipt from all carpark exits just in case.
All users should be aware that such a glitch can happen.
