All Sophie Downing wanted was a matcha latte.
But she got more than she bargained for when she left her local coffee shop as apparently the richest person in the world.
After using a £10 gift card to buy a drink in 200 Degrees in Nottingham, the 29-year-old was shocked to see on the receipt that she had a remaining balance of more than £63 quadrillion.
A spokesman for the coffee shop said due to an “administrative error”, the gift-card number – rather than gift-card value – had been entered into the wrong part of the till.
