All the Transformers movies were flops, because Michael Bay was the director.
Another example of a fucked up director: M Night Shyamalan, who fucked up the Airbender movie.
An example of a good director is Christopher Nolan (Inception, The Dark Knight).
The Avengers movie was built up on previous Marvel franchise movies (Thor, Captain America, Iron Man etc).

basically the story is no good,
the SF, too much , too clean, like phantom menace and transformer 2
i will wait for reviews first before i see it. might bomb, not sure, but based on past experience.
