Someone asked me to recommend a dentist in JB. I have no idea about dentists in JB because I go to LOS. So if you know of a good dentist there please help a fellow Sporean

It depends on what your friend is looking for. Simple polishing and scaling. Or tooth implantation ?

For simple polishing and scaling, you can try Lim Dental Surgery at Holiday Plaza Lot F27, the latter translates to 4th Storey.

It's not really cheap because most of the dentists graduated from our NUS Medical School. Simple cleaning is MYR100 - MYR150. If you are a foreigner, you can take it that you will be charged the higher scale.

They call themselves "dental surgeons" but this clinic is strictly GP and orthodontics. Tooth implantation and root canal treatment is beyond them. They are Chinese, btw.

Even if my friend is looking for simple polishing, I would would plan for the worst case scenario because today it might be simple cleaning but tomorrow it may be a more serious root canal or tooth implantation.

So is there such expertise to be found in JB? Even if they are more expensive, the costs in JB must be cheaper than in Spore.

I go to a GP in JB. He's patients are those who are suffering from heart problems, diabetes, cancer,... He offers IV Chelation, ECCP, hyperbaric chamber treatment,..

When I needed an Xray his staff will arrange a visit to the local hospital to have it done. If you need a blood test they'll take your blood & send it to a 3rd party laboratory to have it tested..

I suggest your friend start with the GP, and if his or her situation warrants further medical attention, the GP will refer him or her to a specialist. Being a GP clinic, the dentists are quite risk averse.

As far as I know, there is only one dental expert in the whole of Johore who can do a very thorough RCT and the waiting period is 2 months. The rest are all in KL.

Columbia Hospital in Nusajaya is best for full body health screening at less than 50% of Singapore prices. Best to call or email them<[email protected]> and they will send you the various packages mentioned in the email below. I go there every year. Recommend the top of the line all inclusive Premier Wellman package at RM1228 when i went there for my last check up 6 months ago:

In Pattaya I've only done scaling i.e. cleaning.

One of the dentists is located at Soi Buakhao. It was a place called "Dental Art Clinic" at 592/34 Moo 10 Soi Buakhao.
I just happened to be staying nearby that is why I chose this dentist,

The other dentist is easier to locate. He is at the junction of Pattaya Klang Road(Central Pattaya Rd) & 2nd Road. This is the junction where the Top supermarket is located. The one with the bowling alley above. Just walk eastwards(away from the beach) along Pattaya Klang Road. At this junction you'll see a Goldsmith shop on the right, then there is a massage shop, the office is located next to the massage shop.
