You would need to retain a Medisave Minimum Sum of $38,500.00 (effective from 01 Jul 2012) or the actual balance, whichever is lower, in your Medisave Account when you withdraw your CPF. This is to ensure that you set aside enough for your healthcare needs in retirement.

what would happen if one doesn't have this? why do we need so much? if one who keeps himself healthy and doesn't need it in his lifetime, what happen when he passes on?

if one suay suay needs an open heart surgery like the holy cow, does he pay only $8 only like him???

how the hell did holy cow did it and pay so little?

then there is another minimum amount to be maintained at $139k. if one doesn't have that kind of amount, is he entitled to withdraw anything? at what age is now the qualifying withdrawal age? 55, 60, 62....65 or ??

can one be exempted from Medisave, i.e. withdraw from the scam sorry i mean scheme & sort your own medical cover?

Tired of all these manipulations of our CPF money every year regularly without any discussions with the CPF members.U wake up one day and u discovered they farking hell implement new laws by administratice decrees issued by the rubber-stamp Govt.
One farking CPF account broken up into so many accounts and so many conditions even the MPs or Finance Professionals sometimes do not understand and cannot keep up with the changes.
If they don't want u to have the money, they will implement as many conditions and boobytraps as possible such that u will be disqualified from withdrawing your own money.
KNNCCB to the PAP !!!
KNNCCB to the 60 %!!!

Singaporeans do not need accountability and transparency. These things are for ang mohs who eat too full and have nothing to do. Majulah PAP! :D

it's suppose to be a very simple straightforward kinda of national saving. now it evolves into something so complicated that even a phD can't figure it out.

another thing, when are they going to change something again like withdrawal age or minimum limit? really very confusing. it just confirms itself that many wouldn't be getting much back.

I know where u are coming from and understand your frustrations..

Look what the good MIW do.. Tweat and confuse the ordianry layman and make them all muddled up..

Following examples..

Cars..COE..do u know and understand all the levies, taxes and charges...all in the name of seamless transportation to ease traffic congestion.

Taxis.... decades of changes but still lagged behind HK..who knows all the fares
and the charges they levied...?

Electrol boundries and GRC.. Electrol Board under PM Office..they do what they like with boundries and what u get is some amazing concoction of formula, where they win 60% of the electrol vote but control 90 % of Parliament seats. ( Here, They are not gentleman and play dirty ..is"nt it)

Salaries.... what the hell a PM job, u need three person to do..???
and u pay yourself the highest salary possible...a tiny dot, u put in 5 Mayors...
U stratified every layer well so that those at the top stays at the tops always..

Olympic Medals...u use our money to buy these medals to make u look good....u get a foreigner to be our flag-bearer...our children are all cast aside, no matter how hard they train...

So u see the many flaws here and still they pat themselves on the back.. thinking and saying a job well done..

National saving my lanjiao. The CPF is hidden taxation. That's what it really is.

originally, i treated it like a "fixed deposit" with a certain time frame to allow FULL WITHDRAWAL when due i.e, when one hits the original withdrawal age of 55. why has it evolved into such complicated machinery that doesn't seem to benefit the account holder more fairly than the bureau that's holding all our cash??

63 days hospital stays in B1 ward, cost $15,000+, no medical insurance, no medishield, no medisave... "MATI".

Had a coffee chit-chat with friends.Everyone is cursing the MIW Ministers for suka-suka over-paid themselves S$3.00 million plus salaries and bonuses yearly ? This is daylight robbery ! If the MIW ministers stripped naked with us in the sauna or steam bath, they also have only 1 head,2 hands,2 legs and 1 lanjiao only ,so they are no different from us ordinary citizens .If they want more money, provided they have the balls, they can go to casino to win as much money as possible based on their skills and luck but don't rob the money belonging to the citizens of singapore !Yes,the 60% greedy cowards are blind to vote for u but that doesn't mean that u can do illegal, immoral and corrupt things .
KNNCCB to the PAP !!! KNNCCB to the 60% !!! KNNCCB to the Singapore Employers !!!

bro , why you the beri angry ah??
you got ask your friends who did they voted ?

the best part of this medisave scheme is not all medical treatment can be paid with it, only certain specified treatments .

someone said this thing has become beri complicated , it has to be .
every now and then they give sinkies additional cents , tax rebate for sinkies to topup willlingly.
sinkies being dumb , won't understanding such complex issue ,will usually take the bite.:D:D:D:D:D

many at first are anticipating that when they could withdraw their savings. self-employed like hawkers, tradesman, small stallholders and etc ae also hoping when they finally decide to retire from their small businesses, there would at least be some meagre cpfs to lay back. the tentacles of cpf have also zap into such little peoples' business. one gotta pay something to the cpf in form of medisave to be able to renew their business license.

can u realise the miracle and wonderful conspiracy the moneysucking machinery of the pap work in unison?

there is no escape. when they want your money, they make sure they get it in broad daylight robbery style. :(

It's tough and no one is looking into it to improve the situation.

the Obama-Romney debates really put the nominees on their toes. Unlike here, no debate.

singaporeans are just too obliging and tolerating. we probably have the highest pain threshold in the world. that's why our gov gets away with many lame policies :(

Well they never run out of support from the daft 60%, do they?

Just look at the ever increasing property price and COE, long queue at the airport to welcome the foreigners from the Olympics and the bestest of all the repeatedly, convincing strong mandate every GE without fail
