Even in Thailand its very difficult to find Thai maids, most maids here are Burmese. Thais prefer to work in factories now a days as they can socialize. I am the lucky few who has a Thai as our house maid.

Indo maids were stopped from going to Malaysia and they now have a pay raise. It is RM700 as minimum but there are many conditions on the type of work they should do and there are weekly off days. For Pinoy maid in Malaysia the pay is higher, up to RM1400 for someone experienced and can communicate in English. It's not my fault if your brother wants to flout the laws and underpay, overwork his maid.
