Dear Singaporeans,
We are sure you have been reading the papers lately on the demise of our beloved JBJ. We must admit that the state media has been rather generous with JBJ by their “standards” who used to be vilified by them as a “dangerous radical” during his protracted altercations with the PAP.
Still, old habits die hard, a leopard never change its spots. If you analyaze the articles carefully, you will not fail to detect the inherent half-truths, lies and spin seeking to mislead the unsuspecting reader.
is obvious that they want Singaporeans to believe that:
1. JBJ is dishonest and is of questionable character and morality which was why he was CONVICTED for making a FALSE declaration of his party’s accounts. This outright LIE was repeated in every article.
2. JBJ is a loose cannon who opened his mouth without thinking and deserve to be punished for tarnishing the “reputation” of our eminent world-class “holier-than-thou” PAP leaders.
3. JBJ is a “combative” opposition politician whose “confrontational” style of politics is unsuitable for Singapore.
4. Young Singaporeans are mostly not aware or concerned about the passing of JBJ who has no place in their hearts.
My fellow citizens, since when did the state media become our spokesman ? Is it true that most of us only “vaguely heard of JBJ or did not know his name at all” ?
Let’s prove the PAP and the state media wrong this coming Saturday. Tell everybody you know about the memorial service for JBJ below:
