maybe the bigwigs are eating with the troops, so the food must be nicer so that the food it gentle to their stomachs.
if your camp have brigade HQ, then the food more de gong. at gedong, there are two cookhouses, one for 42 and one for 46. because 42 cookhouse also served to brigade HQ, so the lunch served in 42 cookhouse are much better than the shit served in 46 cookhouse but the dinner about the same. why only lunch better, it because brigade HQ bigwigs only eat lunch in camp while drive home when it 1730hr.
Even back then there were problems with the "system". However there was no internet back then & I was just a naive youngster fresh out of school. Didn't know about white horses & the advantages of famiLee :o
