Boy Critical After Tiger Attack At Zoo!!!

Circus and zoo staff train tigers and lions by pain and fear. There's no way they can be pets. It's a continuous process. You must keep the pain and fear there. In this sense, Drifter is correct. You train your dog once and its yours loyally forever. Not applicable to big cats like tigers and lions. I won't even trust small cats.

thankyou ram , i think those monks wanted to install fear in those big cats so that they could control them ...to gain tourist attraction by allowing tourists to get close to those cats ....in exchange for $$$$ .

KOLKATA, India — A leopard that mauled 11 people in a fierce showdown with Indian villagers has died of knife wounds after being captured.

The snarling adult, male leopard leapt at locals and forest officials as they tried to drive it into a wildlife sanctuary in West Bengal state.

Forest official Dharma Dev Rai says villagers used knives, stones and batons to beat back the cat. It injured six villagers, a policeman and four forest guards before being hit with a tranquilizer gun Tuesday.

The cat died within hours, and a post mortem is being conducted. It happened near Siliguri, about 373 miles (600 kilometers) from Kolkata.

The people are recovering from their injuries, mostly from swipes from the cat’s claws.

Leopards are protected in India though more are straying into villages for food.

That's a real unlucky chap...kana the scalp, real headache!

The zoo guards should all be sentenced to death penalty. Armed and watched but dared not shoot.

Up to four people have reportedly been injured after a wild leopard wandered into a northeast Indian city on Saturday and pounced on bystanders.

The full-grown male cat snuck into the urban area of Gauhati at about 1:30 p.m. local time and skulked through a shopping complex, The Times of India reported.

Harrowing photographs show the leopard pouncing on a man, tearing his scalp from his head. A final photo shows the bloodied victim alive, but visibly in distress.

The leopard injured two others before roaming into a deserted room, reported The Sunday Indian. Some media outlets have reported that four people were injured in total.

One victim is reportedly in critical condition.

Local news outlets said a 10-member team from the Assam state zoo eventually managed to tranquilize and cage the leopard.

After the capture, a zoo official told The Times that moving through crowds of curious onlookers was the most difficult part of the leopard rescue.

The animal is thought to have wandered into the residential area from the Nabagraha hills, which is said to have several leopards.

Last July, a leopard in West Bengal died of knife wounds after mauling 11 villagers.
