The shopping centre beside Si Ma Lu temple... (albert complex)

Talk cock. Then you should get a M16 or AK47 :D

Eat full nothing to do strip and assemble rifle. And if that's not enough, when you go back to your Moo Baan, on a Saturday night, offer to stand in for your security guards at the sentry. I guarantee this will surely bring back memories of your NS days.
Really siow. This is the only memory I will never miss. And now it's no longer M16 liao. Cannot remember the new rifle name?

Like to talk nonsense, just jiving. :D
Mao Laew?

Ya if I stand at my guardroom with an assault rifle I will be a target for snipers in black shirts for sure.

Thanks mako65. I actually bought or fun and yes maybe if I wear it often it may be a real workhorse. But then I wish its a little bigger, you see I'd grown since NS days. LOL ;)

The building is called The Bencoolen http://www.streetdirectory.com/asia_travel/travel/travel_id_28744/travel_site_14613/

In the past, all these watch outlets used to be inside The Albert Complex. But in late 90s, OG Dept Store bought over the whole building. Therefore the old timer watch outlets moved to The Bencoolen when it was built in yr 2000. Old timers include May May, 3D (3 Dragon), May Win & Tai Wah have since shifted into The Bencoolen.

In the past, The Waterloo St of the Guang Yin Temple & Albert Street were not pedestrian walkway, but traffic road for vehicles. It was during late 90s the govt turned it into pedestrian walkway...

Other places to buy cheap Casio watch are Bras Basah Complex & Mustafa.

Youth123, I am very impressed by your knowledge of these old shops and thanks a lot for the information. Maybe I could ask you a question since you know these lobangs. Some years ago I heard from someone that one could buy genuine Montblanc pens in Bras Basah Complex costing less than if buy direct from the boutiques. Do you have any knowledge about this?

Oh, I'm not sure about that one. I'm more interested in Casio & Timex electronic watches.

Thanks anyway. Since you are into Casio and Timex I'd like to ask you 2 questions. Is there any Casio model worth collecting? If you know could you please advise the model and reason. Where is Timex from is it in the same league as Casio?

Casio is more on functions, design & durability. I do have friends who collected those expensive & flambuoyant looking G-Shock for the design & multiple functions. Since Casio watch doesn't have second-hand value, my friends don't expect to sell them for cash in future. They just wear their G-Shock collections based on the occasion or their mood. I personally don't collect that much as they do cos they're high income earners.

Is Timex in the same league as Casio? Honestly speaking, no. Casio offers wider range in terms of price, design & functions. Timex is like no 2 to electronic watch enthusiasts like me & my friends. Perhaps its because we're a bunch of 80s flambuoyant followers. In addition to that, Casio offers more different designs for different occasion/mood. People may say Timex also has different collections for different occasions/mood, but Timex distributors in Spore, Crystal Time http://www.crystaltime.com.sg/brands-timexstory.html doesn't advertise much to gain our attention.

However, Timex does have its saving grace. For example, I like its Expedition range of electronic watches which I'm wearing occasionally. I also like the fact that besides Casio's Illuminator function, Timex has Indiglo function to match Casio's Illuminator.

For Casio, its possible to purchase from any price range, for example, $15 till few hundred dollars. But for Timex, minimum is $70 till few hundred dollars. That's the fundamental difference to me, Casio is way affordable than Timex.

Timex is an US brand, yes but now it's mostly made in China. Not to say it's no good. Enough to tell time is good enough. ;)

Thanks guys for the input especially to you Youth123. I was in a watch shop in Japan 2 weeks ago and saw quite a number of nice Casio watches. I also came across a Casio 2011/2012 catalog that costs 1200yen. Took one and wanted to pay for it but the boss very nice gave it to me for free. I'll share some pic in the catalog with you in a short while. Now go breakfast.

The Mustafa store actually has Mont Blanc pens, i recalled a shop near Peoples Park or something have it cheaper too but i would go straight to Mustafa. Bought a few last time from US and SG only to find it cheaper in Mustafa, of course, ambience and packaging is missing but then again no one is going to know where you bought it from other than its original and it writes as well as any pen.

I bought my everyday used watch from Daiso you know the price!
