bottle gourd tree ( calabash )

Shit, I think there's only one vine. So while you're at it, might as well flick the terracotta statue too!:D

Charlies is a corner stall in the food court. It's run by his kids now. Used to be the only place with a variety of imported beers (now tons of places like that). The parking lot is behind Jordan's Pub, the strip plaza where 7-11 is. Charlies is diagonally across the parking lot from the back of Jordan's. Used to have great wings and fish & chips. Now, I dunno.

If you want that many gourds, you'll have to go to Ipoh. I believe the gourd farms there supply the handicrafts throughout M'sia including Penang. Maybe cheaper to make a few moulds and have them sandcasted? Or paper mache?

Cheers!

thankyou bro , that piece of information really helps me alot . thankyou again . i will try to get gourd seeds too ( can grow my own gourd and collect it myself ) , since i want to be a full-time artist .my dreams is to set up a gourds lamp art gallery in future if i decided to go back japan after few years in thailand .

Very brave and exciting decision. Wish you all the best.

Do take a vacation to Hainan. They do all kindsa thing with coconuts; could get some ideas.

Hey, can make some cool bongs with em' too for the North Am market - biodegradable and self-paintable; some potheads might like that. Also, bird-feeders, hamster homes..... let us have your website.

Cheers!

Wow, they're really nice. With the lighting from inside, it is actually quite stunning! Surely a conversation piece in the living room.

You should get a Dremel and start at it already! I used this rotary tool one halloween when I had lots of time and slowly worked the pumpkin to make really fine lines and a full (almost) set of teeth on the jack lantern. Can't do it with just a swiss army knife.

Have fun Bro'.

Cheers!

That`s quite a change in life. I`m now based in Sg, working S.E.A. and appreciating the tropical beaches (missed that in Canada). The politics in Siam is crap, but actually, so`s everywhere else. Thailand is kinda cool, despite their internal mess. Was in Chiangmai early this year, gosh, it is a blardy nice place. I wish I knew about it long ago. But I still prefer the seaside. Yeah, city life isn`t natural.

Cheers!

the reason that i chose koh panghan or samui island because

1) beautiful beaches ( i always love sun and the sea )

2) slow life ( half retired mode )

3 ) cost of living is low ( base on $200 a lamp ( at least ), if i can sell just 20 lamps in a month on the net my monthly income will be at least sin$4000 . which i can live comfortably in thai .

4 ) change of environment

5 ) cheap weeds ( i can even grow my own ) ;)

1. I love the sand and sea. When I visited Vancouver after almost seven years in Toronto, the first thing I did was take off my shoes and dip my toes into the saltwater. I could spend the whole day at the beach and do nothing. Wouldn't mind a joint though.:D

2. Slow life is nice, but its necessary to keep abreast of some things, at least communications - that's for me. Everyone has their prerogative.:)

3. Low cost. Yup! I no longer give a crap about the brands, status and prestige my parents put so much emphasis on. Other than the occasional obligatory business lunch, I live on two meals a day. And discount sale price clothing.:p

4. Change is nice. If don't like, can always change back. ;)

5. Aw shit! I discovered I was allergic to the live plant when it's harvest time. The pollens on the plants cause me massive sneezes. One of my ex-neighbours was quite pro and had humidity control in his basement ops. Two weeks before the flowers bloom, he lowers the humidity and (according to this dude who doesn't have a pHd in botany) it "tricks" the plants to increase the resin level in order not to lose moisture. Product is much much more potent than street skunk.

Cheers!

i agreed your view on brands, status ..ect . i too already passed that stage . i used to collect timepiece , branded clothes and enjoyed all the fine things in life and spend alot of money on it . now looking back , do i really need all these ? am i really happy by owning those expensive item ? yes , it will make me feel good for a few weeks after i brought those things but after that all the "feeling " are gone ...and i start looking for another expensive item to collect ...will these end ? i keep asking myself recently  .

yes , i also cant live without internet and mobile phone .. i need to keep in touch with my friends , family and customers too . thats why i chose koh samui ( thailand ) . with just less then sin$2000 a month you could rent a beach front villa with mordern facility .;) http://www.thailandretreats.com/index.php?PropertyType=rentals

i used to grow weed in my closet too ( with special lighting , 23w cfl ) , now think of it its too risky . i even know how to clone the plant and change the male plant to female plant .Plants become male for many reasons. The biggest reason that plants will be male, is because thats the gender of the seed. There is also the ability for the plant to hermie on you. Meaning that you may start out with a female plant, but due to a plant thats been stressed out (meaning that youve either watered too much, too little, not given it enough light, or abrupt changes in the plants life cycle). If youre growing indoor, make sure to keep your light cycle right. During veg its best to go 18/6, but when youre letting it flower, go to a 12/12 cycle.Growing marijuana is very similar to growing tomato plants. The major difference is that marijuana is a one shot deal and tomatoes will continue to produce till its starts to frost. There are lots of ways to get marijuana to grow fast, Its a weed....duh. But fast means very low yield, and that kinda defeats the purpose. Time and careful care and pruning will net great results. :D

........Growing marijuana is very similar to growing tomato plants....... :D

And ya don't need to hide the tomatos:D

We did a tomato plot and the beefsteaks didn't do well but our cherry tomatoes really sprouted and we had lots; then I saw my dog eating them from the plant thoroughly enjoying himself. One morning, I also saw him eating the mushrooms in your backyard (lots after lightning storms at night for some reason). We thought it strange but amusing. Then one day, he chomped off a coupla my wife's roses and she went ballistic!!! Poor doggie didn't know what the fuss was all about but it was too late then, he already became accustomed to eating anything he could reach before someone else does.

Better to plant tomatoes bud!

Cheers!
