I took a look at that forum and I can't find any pay-per-click banners there. You can tell by looking at the url code which each on links to.

Anyway that forum has nothing to do with me. It was sold ages ago.

When the other forum was sold, there were a few terms and conditions that were agreed to as part of the sales agreement. The link to that forum is one of them.

The avatar is simply a trademark of the sammyboy.com brand. It doesn't matter who owns the site. The trademark remains the same.

This is NOT a charitable organisation's forum! Like all internet forums, it needs to be funded in one way or another.

I find nothing wrong with Sam putting ads here, since I'm not paying a single cent to be here. Get real, you expect him to fund this forum 100% using his own money?

Seriously, if you don't want any ad, please be prepared to pay or go to those funded by companies or politcial parties. Be prepared for the company's or the party's ad too.

At the end of the day, if you feel very strongly that you don't like it here, please feel free to go somewhere else.

Anyone can start a free forum with no ad, no commercial or political agenda at all, please let me know too
