Betting big on this Ah Neh

you are exactly right. Thank you for sharing your experience. :notworthy::notworthy::thumbsup:

Very useful advice. Now since you're here, can I ask you which is 3rd world country that you think is good to set up in? please pm if you feel more comfortable to write there.
it very much depends pal...ask yourself what have you that another country wants....in my case it was expertise good enough for that time and I dealt with B to B or industries...I wont be of much help if it's technology or consumables...secondly are you going there to finance a project ,if you are stay away from any country.
as for the third world with the best potential myself be comfortable with indonesia

thank you. I agree, but do you find you have a problem with indonesia as regards race/religion issue? Will they have a problem with Chinese non-Muslim boss?

certainly not ..indonesians are the most tolerant lot whete religion and race are concerned....but you have to pay a premium with officialdom ..the presumption is all chinese are rich ...but even it does work to your favour ....let me tell you a story ...know a teochew tiger woman in pekanbaru ...has several hotels plus other businees..understand even the local governor dare not take her on ....our TDB based there introduced me to her as she wanted to venture in business i know ...we had dinner with her family....than the small talk about her son studying in Jakarta. ...I popped the question ,why not SG where the boy will get international exposure and she said ,look this is where we make our monies and I don't want my son to lose the ground realities of this country

Your discussion in Indonesian or English?

don't listen to arm chair critics or LKY typos who went into suzhou thinking he had everything figured out ...rule number 1 know yourself and know your enemies, sun Tzu...
meaning you must know and feel the ground realities not sitting pretty in your office ...when I was in charge of a few hundred men and controlled matters from SG ,when a local called i knew exactly what he actually meant when he says certain things ...it's highly critical for decision making ..because I walked every inch of the ground and know the realities

and fortunes are made by daring to go where others feared .not foohardly I mean

myself traded pretty well with India and Indians and the golden ruled was to know 3 communities and their idiocraciez...Brahmins, if you want to deal with burecracy and red tapes ..Marawaris, they control almost all industries and Gujaratis ,traders but quite dicy ...my trick was befriend them before business and beleive me it worked not only in India but also elsewhere

but i am talking about many moons ago and things might have changed with the current Indian IT generation

now,the Ambain chap @syed putra talked about screwd his own lil brother both of whom split their fathers wealth equally...it shows how competitive and cut throat business in India can be ...it's very very very comparative to live as anybody in India, i reckon ...that is why CECA Indians can suvive in any climate anywhere...it's just like introducing snake head fishes in US ...in no time local species got wiped out against a fish that can walk in the land and survive without water for long

imagine doing business in India likewise ...Indian locals also face the same difficulties like foreigners do ...only the fittest survive .

That's why TemaSICK has not made any money.

Why go so far and going into a snake pit when you have closer green fields like Myanmar, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos and Papua New Guinea to name a few.
looking at markets as a whole. not physical proximity. But I've checked out PNG. No good unless it's a specialized resource.

your point is that India works on English?
Sorry. That question I wrongly quoted to you.

That discussion in Indonesian or english?

Yes. Just to gauge on whether you have assimilated Indonesian culture. Otherwise how do you communicate with the lower rank workers in Indonesia
Bang , I am not applying for a job or an assignment ..so no relevance to gauge anything ...especially matters of past ...besides ,I did not operate in Indonesia alone and no point knowing any well
