Poorer women will not get into AWARE's committee and council. AWARE shouldn't assume every NSman in Singapore had relaxed military posting like their downgraded millionaire hubbies or brothers. If today, AWARE has true representation of lower income, lower educated women and homemakers in their council/commitee, they will not be stiring shit like these.

Feminists have the silly idea that gender is a social construct, there are no traditional gender roles to speak of. Gender is malleable and not a consequence of biology. Everything must be gender neutral. If you call someone a policeman... you are a sexist. If you think pink is for girls and blue is for boys, you are a sexist.

I've always thought thay an association like AWARE has its uses and benefits, but not really in an environment like Singapore. Women are generally equal or sometimes superior in this environment. It is those 3rd world countries like Pakistan where they are truely needed.

Oftentimes, there are no such "glass ceilings" these feminists are crowing about. It is just about suitability. For example, women, in general, tend to be more emotional. In a war, where you need to look an enemy in the eye and fire a weapon, can most women do it? Or in an environment, where there are collateral damage and it involves civilians, can they pull the trigger, even if the target is pivotal to the war?
