Award winning china wine from muslim province of Ningxia

In Turkey every restaurant worth its salt will have a wine bar, or least a wine menu. Most Turks will order a bottle wine to go with the meal... some of the more religious Turks don't drink but they don't judge those who do. And you see Turks walking their dogs everywhere.

Turkey is probably the most enlightened Islamic society in the world.
You probably saw turkish Christians.

No, all Muslims. Christians only form 0.2% of population. All my guides in 4 cities were Muslims, but secular and not religious, except for the one in Cappadocia who doesn't drink but brought us to lunch at a restaurant with a fantastic wine collection.

My Kusadasi guide couldn't understand why this Malaysian Malay tourist insisted on going to a mosque to perform sertu after she was touched by a stray dog. The entire tour group had to detour to a mosque.

On domestic flights, I saw a some Turks boarding the plane carrying their small dogs in a carrier. No complaints from passengers, mostly Turks.
