The government and media of Japan are not to be anyway trusted. Singapore was defeated during WWII because of Japanese bluffing. They were severely outnumbered. It would have a dead kamikaze wind massacre of the Japanese if a fight ensued. Singapore government should covertly screen all incoming goods and traffic from Japan for radioactivity. If it turns out high, quarantine and ban all affected items. No need to be kind. This is national security. i am a little concern as i am a regular green tea drinker and i love green tea from Japan. I only drink made-in-Japan green tea.

Recently, i buy online a green tea canister from Iwoa, which is 40km away from that nuclear site.

I am not sure if i drink green tea and use stuffs from japan, i would get affected. will the residue stay in the stuff or green tea that i buy?

A friend working in NEA said people coming back from Japan was found to have radiation. Advice was not to go Japan :o

Look manmade radiation is different from the natural occurring ones. It is not just radiation alone. Different elements react differently to different parts of your body. Not every part of your body is less susceptible to some radioactive elements at some levels. Cummulative effects of radiation exposure is very badly studied science. Any cheeze head scientist tell you this level is safe and dar dar, ask him to expose himself to the dosage and of different elements for the periods deemed safe in a cummulative fashion. There are geiger counters available in Singapore if you are too worried about radiation.
