Anyone Going From Smartphone Back To NON-Smartphone ?

I have an iPhone which I use for evaluating and testing the mobile versions of websites that I maintain. However, I don't bother carrying it around with me. I use my good old Motorola for that. It has a battery life of 5 days. It used to be 7 days but the battery is going downhill.

When it conks out, I'll buy another one. They're available now for $49.

I'm seldom contacted by anyone so it makes no difference to me.

maybe that why your Motorola can last 5 days per charge.

You should also realise that unless you are some bigtime important person, or some wanted criminal, nobody really wants to track you. ;)

Didn't you know that the Sinkie equivalent of the American NSA is tracking and monitoring all phone communications, emails and online posts, especially people with anti-PAP leanings?

Haven't you read Edward Snowden's revelations? Sinkieland is one of those cuntries that help the Five Eyes to surveill.

Answer: Anyone, I mean any person, with access to satellite technology will be able to track your exact location at any point in time, even if you are using feature phones. That is why when out of my home, my feature phone, which I always carry with me, is switched off and the battery removed. Or most of the time I leave my mobile phone at home.

If you have a smartphone, be prepared for a substantial loss of privacy. Not only is Sinkie version of NSA able to track you through GPS, it knows all your off- and online social behavior characteristics. Even if I got one for free, I will sell it for cash.

I can see it

*meanwhile in a remote location near the Bahamas a shadowy figure proceeds to communicate with his boss via satellite phone* shadow guy: this is echo 1 repeat echo 1 here target located. Boss: good tell me where target is. Shadow figure: location in singapore target just logged into forum Sammyboy as Pinkshirtnoheart. IP address confirmed using VPN but real ip address confirmed. Boss: good hack into Singapore's telecommunications system and send assassination units to eliminate target. *within seconds Singapore's telecommunications systems was hacked into and even thoughpinkshirtnoheart had switched off his phone they were able to detect his last known location. Sending out so some scout units they finally tracked him down and killed him. End of story*

yes I can see why you would switch off your phone and remove the battery in case it switches on by itself mr John Connor here to save the humans from sky net and needs to hide from killer assassins.
