Anybody remember the 1980's permed hairstyle and Sideki Saijo (西城秀樹) ?

the only people who want this perm hair style back is the hair dressers and the owner of hair salons, can charge more to customer for the ugly perms.

Why can't Asians develop their own style of music instead of aping the West. They were doing it in the 80s and they're still doing it 30 years later.

It's a waste of time, money and vanity to have perm wave unless you're in some show biz. I always keep my hair short and neat, that's all. In fact, on my first day in police academy, I was excused from haircut. It was short and neat enough, passed. I still keep the same hairstyle.

Detectives from the 70s-early 90s MUST have permed hair and a Rolex watch. In the 70s, bell bottom pants.

I was only PNS SC. Did sentry and lockup mostly, wore Casio only. But yes, it was amazing. How could detectives and IOs afford all those clothes, perms and Rolexes? Not to forget to mention, DuPont lighters. Those days, most of them ranked from constable to sergeant only with payscale very low, even for regular.

1. dragon, two more items to add on to your list: long finger nail for the "pinky" & some thick gold chain around the neck thing.
2. hahaha!

Yes, thick gold necklace and wrist bracelet were almost part of plainclothes "uniform." I'm still wondering how they could afford those stuff...

You all regulars were very bad. Got good openings, you all enjoy yourselves, never took care of SCs. Got lousy jobs, all pushed to SCs.
