Been to JB many, many,... times but have only eaten in the restaurants & food court of City Square Mall. It's convenient & not too bad. However I must have tried all the restaurants there & for a change I want to try the nearby places. Places that are within walking distance from City Square.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Try the wanton mee at the coffee shop along Jalan Wong Ah Fook. You can't miss the long queue and a search google will give you more info.

This one must page for Jah Rastafar. He can show your pictures also.

I remember Jah mentioned some nice wanton mee stall nearby. If you are there in the evening, you can walk the lanes near Citrus hotel. You will find many food stalls.

Years ago when the old immigration was located at the Causeway I used to walk passed this area to get to City Sq, but ever since the CIQ was moved to it's current location I haven't explored this area.

However recently, walking around the building south of City Sq Mall, in the building connected by an overhead bridge & got propositioned by some girl :)

Will take another look. How about the road parallel to Jalan Ah Fook, that would be Jalan Trus. Is there anything interesting there:confused:

There's a chinese mutton soup place opposite the building that sells lights. Mutton soup would be good for weather like this
