A former prison officer landed himself behind bars on Monday for passing a document to an inmate and taking out a copy of a letter sent to the inmate.

Parameswaran Selvadurai, 35, a Malaysian, was sentenced to two weeks' jail after admitting to two charges under the Prisons Act. A third similar charge was considered during his sentencing.

As a personal supervisor at Changi Prison, he was not supposed to convey messages or instructions by an inmate to his family members.

Any request made would have to be registered into the prison's database and submitted to his superiors for approval. All letters addressed to inmates are also registered in the database

investigation is incomplete.
Again CPIB failed its job.
Why would a prisoner officer be so kind to convey the message?
did prisoner officer receive any favor from the prisoners such as special blow job and sex and that was why prisoner officer was willing to help to convey the message?

why the prisoners was not charged and punished?

They should dig deeper. Possible that the family had paid the prison officer to do it.

The Prison Service for decades have been recruiting Malaysians for their Junior Officer posts.. Usually the Chinese and Kelings Malaysians from Johore, Perak, Kedah, even from Sabah, Sarawak would come down to S'pore's Prison HQ at Changi for the interview... Most of them possess SPM the equivalent of our O Levels..

And usually its these Foreign trash Prison Wardens that are yaya and on the ball towards the local inmates.. These Malaysian fucktards fuckin proud that they can wear the blue uniform and lord it over the local inmates... Thats why many local inmates detest these Malaysian fuckers..

Fuckin Keling kia must have took kopi money from the inmate's family.. Normal practise of these corrupted Prison wardens is to do a deal with the inmate behind bars if that particular inmate asked for some personal favors..

Usually inmate would ask the officer to approach his family members outside to ask for payment after carrying out the task..

As for how he kena caught.. Maybe this officer kena played out by the inmate or the rest of the inmates in that cell by reporting him to a Senior Officer..

Even though a cell is consisted of just 4 hard walls, many informers be it the inmates or the rest of the prison staff lurking around to grab first hand info..

Another uniquely sinkapore; FTsh from Malaysia can work in Govt service in sinkie land but Malaysia Govt do not employ sinkies. Do these FTsh really care about loyalty, integrity and allegiance while in Govt service in Sinkie land? PRs and all foreigners should not be allowed in Govt service.

Nothing new. Malaysians and PRs are already in the police force. So multi national foreigners are recruited.
I'm waiting for the day SAF also recruit FTs.

Yes definitely more to it then meets the eyes.
It's not easy to get a prison warden in your pocket....even big time convicts can't do that.
This Malaysian warden got off very lightly with only 2 weeks. Maybe many other cases compromised.
Prison service afraid of digging further as more cases might be uncovered.
Likely already coverup internally liao.
