I ride the 2013 Dogma 99% of the time now simply because it has Di2 and once you go electronic it's hard to go back to those damned cables that constantly need fiddling with in order to index properly.

For the Di2 the mechanic did it for me and I ride for the next 6 months without having to touch it. In fact I don't even bother to clean it properly. After 6 months it goes in for a new chain and cluster (if necessary) and I ride for another 6 months trouble free.

I’ve never ridden a Pinarello Dogma, I read that the ride is harsh. Does it pain your arse?

It's a stiff frame and on rough roads you can certainly feel everything. The most comfortable is the steel frame. Feels like a rolls royce in comparison. Great on the flats but 3.5kg extra to carry uphill.

I heard the same happens to the bikes parked in the most expensive condos in SG. I keep all my bikes in my house and never leave them out of my sight.

i don't know who (and which race) steals bikes in sg. in angmoh land, it's usually nigger gangs. gone in 69 seconds.

mercedes is just as crappy as bmw. in the german auto hierarchy, audi is a notch above mercedes and bmw in terms of quality and reliability. of course above audi is porsche, the apex of german autos.

Would disagree on that. Even though I don't even know how I ended up here all I wanna say is that the German auto hierarchy looks like this
Porsche > Mercedes > BMW > Audi

welcum, oops willkommen. i happen to own all 4 makes of various models in my lifetime, thus it’s from my sexperience. and since i’m also a diy guy, i spend considerable amount of time with various autos in the garage and my friend’s commercial auto garage which is also a body shop. drivers’ perception and sexperience in sillycon valley rate the new audi models over mercedes and bmw equivalents in terms of prestige (price over value) as most audi models purchased in the valley are in the larger and luxury range (2.5l and up), not the smaller and diesel “commute” audis sold in germany. for sexample, the 2020 audi a6 average price is $56.9k (msrp $59.8k) while the 2020 bmw 530i sells for an average of $50k (msrp $53.9k) and the 2020 mercedes c300 sells for an average $37.3k (msrp $41.4k). the 2020 mercedes e350 rwd sells for an average $48.3k (msrp $54). in terms of msrp, mercedes e350 equivalent of bmw 530i is a grand higher but when sold it’s about $5-6k lower. thus, in prestige rating, bmw is creeping into mercedes’ territory. in sillycon valley, the higher the price, the higher the prestige. the wealthy don’t care much about reliability. they change auto models almost every other year.

I agree that Merc used to be more reliable than BMW/Audi (noting that you are not necessarily talking about reliability) but in the last decade, their electronics are so bad that I read, I hear and I see more electronic failures in merc than any other car.
