No requests from Indonesia so far for assistance on La Nyalla case: MHA

SINGAPORE: The Republic has not received any request from Indonesian authorities for assistance with regard to Indonesian national La Nyalla Mattalitti, said the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
Responding to media queries, the MHA added in its statement on Friday (Apr 8) that Singapore and Indonesia enjoy "good bilateral cooperation in law enforcement and in dealing with criminal matters".
The MHA spokesperson also said that Singapore will "continue to provide our full assistance to Indonesia, within the ambit of our laws and international obligations".
La Nyalla was elected president of the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) in 2015.
He was named in a graft case last month, after which he is believed to have fled to Singapore. Reports have said that Indonesia is seeking his extradition.
