If we go on the basis of "hot" issues":

Housing prices - Mah Bow Tan (Tampines)
FT and Immigration - Gan Kim Yong (Choa Chu Kang, and perhaps Hong Kah GRC)
Transportation - Raymond Lim (East Coast, but currently with Jayakumar)

I think the floods affected too few people, whereas Vivian's IRs and YOG problems are not bread-and-butter enough.

Alternative parties should shout loudy in the coming election that for every vote citizen gives to opposition is equivalent to taking a piece of their land back from foreigners. I guarantee this slogan sell and will cause massive diarrhea in PAP camp.

They can also ask citizens whether they have been frustrated in recent years and whether their personal space have improved tremendously with swiss standard of living as promised by PAP or has it taken away many basic necessities in their livelihood and caused acute inconveniences in their daily affairs. Are their children happy? are their parents happy? Do they feel the squeeze in our transport systems and the loud and rude foreign talents in our neighbourhood? Do they agree that they should earn less than foreigners since PAP advocated such idea into our live to be cheaper, better and faster. Do you believe you are daft and have no spur in your hide as what LKY said about you to foreign press. Are Singaporeans lesser mortal than the minister who made such remark on us in parliament? Are all these remarks fair to you singaporeans?

Yeah but if you look at it, you need not attack the particular minister with reference to the problems faced by the public. Rather attack the issues by targeting them at their weaker links. This will divert their attention in attending to their own GRC and having to shore up the defense for their weaker minister GRC. Moreover, it would be stupid to take MBT on housing issue in his own constituency of Tampines. They are one of the few estates to enjoy higher resales values compared to other areas. Do you think they would want to rock their own boat by voting in the opposition as present moment?
