This was the first of our series of 'Tea in the Park' event, held at Tai Hwan Terrace Playground. It was drizzling the whole day and we thought the response would be poor. Our thoughts were banished soon after, when we saw residents strolling in to the playground, carrying their umbrellas!
We were touched to see so many residents attending this event despite the rain. There were about 70 residents who turned up throughout the whole event, which lasted 1.5hours. Many residents were there to voice their concerns about national issues, some had other personal problems, and others just came and supported us.

Location: Blk 641/642, Jalan Tenaga. Every now and then I receive feedback from residents from house visits/email that the rubbish collection truck will be blowing its horn for a considerable period of time because a resident/visitor has inconsiderately parked their vehicle such that it blocks access to the rubbish collection point. Sleep is broken, and the blissful serenity of the Tenaga cluster is disturbed....sometimes for a rather long period of time. Just a gentle note to all residents to please desist from doing so. Many thanks!

Coincidentally met the CertisCisco team on patrol at the Jalan Damai estate last night (Thank you to the 4th member of the patrol team, Mr Chong for the taking picture!). The patrol team requested that I inform residents to secure their wi-fi networks as the episodes of "moochers" who loiter at the void decks during the wee hours (late at night, early in morning), appears to be rising. Thank you!

MP Sylvia Lim was invited to attend the Kovan Melody National Day Celebration 2013. Kovan Melody Condominium is within the Serangoon Division of Aljunied GRC.
The celebration was always something to look forward to, because of the spirit and enthusiasm of the residents, and not forgetting the self-designed humongous cake, which is one of the highlight of the event. We were always very impressed after attending this event. Well done, Kovan Melody!
