I know of this CECA boss who goes to Cold Storage during office hour and return during office hours with Cold Storage groceries in plastic bag!!

I often notice people of working age at eateries and malls on weekdays even with their children in school uniforms. I get to see such people while I am on leave or meeting a client at a café or restaurant.

During my WFH day, I would be diligently at the reading room of RTC or Tanglin Club from 8:30 am to 6 pm behind my laptop. My only breaks are for lunch at the coffee house or restaurant, and for tea at around 4 pm. I would workout at the gym or swim before heading home for dinner after 7 pm.

Thomas, the problem is that we live in an extremely competitive society where only 15% live in private homes and 8% own a car. That means that the vast majority feel resentment towards this tiny group of elites. Sour grapes is fuelling this nastiness as everyone steps on those around them to join the group at the summit.
