Debra Soon is a 100% bitch of LKY. She was handpicked by the Old Fart to head CNA after showing him umpteen years of mindless loyalty. She hosted Talking Point, a show for discussing current topics affecting S'poreans and where opposition members were invited on the panel together with PAP cronies. Initially, everyone thought the govt was really opening up and were ready to listen to alternative views and at same time allow TV viewers to hear what the opposition has to say. But just 2 to 3 episodes into the programme, it became pretty obvious that the show was designed to ambush the opposition. The line of questioning adopted by Debra Soon towards the opposition was one aimed at embarrassing the opposition and as the show was not broadcast "live", the editing was done to make the opposition look bad. The way she asked the PAP panelists on the other hand was to bring out the best in them and coupled with skilful editing, the PAP croniew were made to good. She did such a successful job at it that LKY appointed head of CNA plus of course her other news slant in favor of the PAP, chief of which the totally biased coverage of GE 2006.

Melissa Hyak is more spontaneous, ask what comes to her mind regardless of who is at the other end. In other words, she doesn't have a hidden agenda and treat both PAP and the opposition alike. But of course she would be reminded now and then by her boss Debra Soon on which side her bread is buttered, though Melissa looks to be the kind who doesn't really care.
