Loan sharks getting more audacious: They're defacing HDB staircases as well
Loan sharks are not only vandalising the homes of those who owe them money, they are also defacing common areas such as HDB staircases.
STOMPer shark eater, a Bukit Batok resident, says:
"These pictures were taken at Block 289 at Bt Batok St 25.
"Of late the loan sharks and their runners have been very active in our estate.
"They go around and spray the walls near the staircases with addresses and telephone numbers.
"If the loan sharks want to recover their money, they should do it the proper way.
"There is no reason for them to scrawl words on the walls of our HDB blocks.
"I hope the police will continue to monitor the activities of these social parasites and put them away so that the public can have a sense of security in the estate."
