That invention is hardly "useful" in fact it will cause great harm because it will result in more humans on this planet at a point in time when there are insufficient resources to go round.

Well if you look at this in another way, mothers need only be pregnant for 6 months, transfer baby to artificial womb, and not 9 months previously, boosting productivity. And baby can be kept beyond 9 months until they are more developed before released, say 12 or 18 months.
