Gerrymandering with GRC worked at first as it newly taken opposition by surprise 20 years ago, but not anymore. Look the case in point for WP. Just concentrate groundworks thinking in terms of region, not constituency. When you focus on a region, however they redraw or rename it doesn't matter anymore, you'd have your groundworks there and you'd contest there. For example, the max they could have gone in gerrymandering was to split Aljunied GRC into two just like what they did to the old Chengsan. Then what? They'll risk losing two GRCs at one go and they know that. That's why they dare not do it. What else can they do? Draw the Chengsan-Aljunied area as a non-Parliamentary stateless zone requiring no election?
