not so worried about the san andreas fault, as it shook out a big one in 89. more worried about the hayward and calaveras faults, as their major shakeout cycles are overdue, especially the hayward fault. the hayward faultline runs thru' fremont, hayward, oakland and other cities on the east bay. most major seismic cycles here run over a century to accumulate and dissipate pent-up energy trapped deep underneath the faults. same with the shit stuff near sumatra, except that it's a giant tectonic subduction zone in sumatra while over here they are just fault lines. if a big one happens in sumatra, it will be 9 on the richter scale while over here it will be a 7.
