57-year-old suspect arrested for motor lorry theft

SINGAPORE - Police yesterday arrested a 57-year-old man suspected of stealing a motor lorry.
Police received a report on Tuesday that a motor lorry parked along Smith Street was missing. With the help of CCTV footage, officers managed to recover the stolen lorry near Geylang and identify the suspect, who was arrested at the vicinity of Lengkok Bahru.
The suspect will be charged in court tomorrow for stealing motor vehicle. If convicted, he could be sentenced up to 7 years imprisonment and may also be fined.
