It's the placebo effect. It shows up in statistically significant studies too.

The placebo effect can't discount everything.

I'm talking about the guy who treated me. He was 75 and that was 30 years ago.

You know why these so called elites use TCM? It's because they're trying to cover all possibilities. It also pleases the old folks.

If they turn it down they'll always be all those "what if" questions. If they get better TCM will be credited with playing a part in their recovery. If they die Western medicine can be blamed.

That's a poor argument. It's more likely that they are leaving no stones unturned
