The 34-year-old driver involved in the fatal crash that took place on the Central Expressway in the early hours of National Day has been released on police bail.

His driving licence has also been suspended.

The accident left four people dead.
23-year-old Singaporean Amron Ayoub had been driving his Korean girlfriend, Ms Jamie Song Jisoo, and her family to the airport.

They were travelling in Mr Amron's family car on the CTE in the direction of Seletar Expressway when a tyre burst.

Mr Amron pulled up at a chevron area near the Yio Chu Kang exit to fix the tyre, and all of them got out of the vehicle.

Mr Amron, Ms Song and her parents were apparently standing behind the car when another car hit them.

Only Ms Song's brother was unhurt.

The driver of the other car was arrested for dangerous driving causing death.

MediaCorp understands that even though he is out on police bail now, he can still be charged at a later date.
