3 Questions for Sam & the Infraction System

In a coffeeshop, amidst the noisy banter, when you are in earnest conversation with guys at the same table, a loudmouth at some other table can still cut through and be discerned as a particular character even though he comes in with a disguise. That loudmouth although had been granted the status of persona non grata in this coffeeshop is still around. Just fine tune the ears.

Tonychat and Sam have been an item from the old days. Don't ask me where the love and connection comes in. Sam I suspect works on a template where spamming is cut and paste. So TC does not make the cut even though the message is the same and has not value whatsoever. TC also begins to write in sentences and paragraphs every time he is mentioned. Watch, he will not spam for a while. He also accords Sam alot of respect. He accuses Singaporeans of being losers but watch this guy suck up to Sam.

So do you have a problem with that? Yeah i don't like TC but the pt of the matter is guess what in the saga bet him and sifu. I guess he won.

It's actually pretty straightforward and it also applies to real life. Suck up to your boss or someone in power. TC is smart in this respect. Yeah he's polite to sam the one that has the ability to actually wipe any forummer and del all his posts so that his prescence is only a memory. TC was being smart in sucking up to sam. In real life he would be like the boss's ass kisser. Yeah it's not looked highly upon in fact ppl would most likely look down upon but guess what. Come retrenchment time he would most likely be able to retain his job. That's it! Nothing more. He kissed sam's ass and has the same outlook as sam in bashing sinkees he stays.

Sam was probably looking for an excuse to ban sifu anyway and probably not just sifu maybe even me, since i openly sort of insulted him that day and he took note of it. Guess he might just do that he just has to find some sort of reasonable excuse to do that to me like what he did to sifu.

Probably would make you happy then. Btw how long down the line do you think you are from being banned? If you were actually banned perhaps the reason could be most intolerable forummer here. This isn't real life it doesn't matter how smart you potray yourself to be. You're just a word on a screen to me and everyone else.

I didn't know about any of this. Did anyone receive extreme prejudice when he did any of the 3? Did any of the f4 get treated badly? I know kaixin is one of them. The female is a newbie and probably never even joined this forum. Cannot recall the other 2. Is chia li tik kaixin? Most likely not. Don't recall much about them.

1) No problems with being called a Jew. In fact, it would be an honor. Jews have contributed more to the world in the last 100 years than any other group.

2) Yeah do hate that but that goes way back to my childhood. I always wondered why on earth sinkies could use Knnbccb as a form of punctuation without batting an eyelid. I always considered it to be absolutely disgusting.

3) No problems with the SDP. Dr Chee actually requested the use of the forum to spread the word way back during Delphi days. I was happy to obliged although I did warn him that using a forum purportedly associated with a sex forum might not be a good look.

4) Still don't know much about this F4 thingy except that it involved some scandal over a pussy which always leads to trouble. The Greek and the Romans launched wars for the same reason.

The infraction system is separate from the rep system. Neither works perfectly. However, they do add an extra dimension to the interactions between members. If I monitor what's going on closely, they serve their purpose. However, in recent months, I haven't had the time to look into what has been going on behind the scenes with the rep system as the hosting, server, database problems have taken up most of my time.

However, as everyone can attest to, the database is running well now and I doubt very much if there have been many recent cases of database errors or serious latency since the last upgrade. With that behind me, I've had time to to look into what's being going on behind the scenes ref the rep system and that's when I saw what SIFU has been up to.

I try my best to be as objective as possible when dealing with nicks. Hurling abuse at me in an open forum won't get anyone banned. It's water off my back. Fucking people anonymously via the rep system is a cowardly act in my books and it infuriates me. If SIFU had left his nick, I would have taken no action. Nevertheless, I made a simple request to stop doing it but he refused to comply.. hence the death sentence of that nick. He's free to use his other nicks to post though but if he does the same thing, the end result will be the same.

We shld do away with the infraction system. Also sam shld make it such that anybody who adds or subtracts yr rep pts has to identify himself, or he cant meddle with the rep pts.

Why don't you take over the running of the forum. You know far more about what's going on at the front end than I do. I didn't even notice the nick cannonfairy or what happened to him. All I do in the actual forum is stir a bit of shit, irritate people, make racist comments etc... hardly productive.

I'll concentrate on the backend.. server loads, database health, hosting costs, keeping php mysql up to date, installing security patches etc.

Not sure who you are referring to but I am sure most of us know that Sam is a Chinese except those who are slow or who have internalized their racism that anyone who offends them cannot be Chinese.

Tonychat being anti-Singaporean, pro Singaporean or Mexican is not the issue. It's the spamming. There are many here are also cheesed of by Singapore and the establishment and they make it known all the time. Tonychat certainly cannot be connected to Sam - poles apart. One can't even start his laptop when he bought it, cannot even fill an emigration form that he was asking help here. The other is an apple affciando and has emigrated. I am sure you can tell which one. Sam feels that he needs to allow free speech like many of us but some of us feel that Tonychat is not free speech but spamming but in his case not cut and paste. A qualification that Sam requires.

I think most of us know what is going on, just the slow ones.
