A woman is believed to have plunged to her death last night, leaving her body stuck on the roof of a pedestrian walkway.
The incident happened at about 9.30pm on 29 March, at Blk 142, Yishun Ring Road.
The 26-year-old Chinese woman is believed to have fallen from the eleventh floor stairwell of the block.
According to the shop assistant of a provision shop nearby, the woman had landed on the roof of the pedestrian walkway.
The long-haired woman, clad in a polo tee and a pair of shorts, had landed facedown, with her head hanging out from the side of the roof.
Her body had already been removed when reporters arrived at the scene.
However, a large pool of blood was still visible on the ground and the impact of the fall caused a hole in the walkway roof, with dislodged roof tiles scattered about.
It is believed that the woman stayed at a unit nearby and had consumed some alcohol prior to her death.
A number of items believed to belong to her were found on the stairwell of the eleventh floor, including an empty can of beer, a pair of slippers, a pair of spectacles, a mobile phone, a set of keys and a wallet.
Reporters also spoke to residents at the tenth and eleventh floors but none had noticed anything odd prior to the incident.
The deceased's family arrived at the scene at about 11pm but declined to speak to reporters.
