Because of current CB, I don't think there are many cases of newly infected people going around infecting people in crowds.
The problem as you mentioned before is ongoing infection from asymptomatic carriers, or symptomatic carriers suppressing their symptoms, or confirmed cases lying about contact tracing. The unlinked cases is the main reason for the extended CB, and as usual when it comes to PAP, when they have a problem, the ordinary folk suffer.
