544 new cases of Covid-19 in S'pore on June 2, 1 is S'porean/PR

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 544 new cases of Covid-19 as of 12pm on June 2, 2020.
Among the confirmed cases, one case is a Singaporean or Permanent Resident and three are Work Permit holders in the community.
540 of the cases are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.
This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 35,836.

It is going to be a long struggle but we have to deal with this rationally and reasonably with courage. Don't let fear override.

I think FW (dorms) sector stands on its own because of the probable lack of diligent adoption of the requisite health safety practices. That is why the government had no choice but to order mandatory testing of all 320k FW(dorms) plus ring fence them from the local community until no threat of spreading the virus.

As for the local community, guess an interesting insight might be derived from the recent completion of testing the entire sectors in both the pre-school and care homes/nursing homes. Think for the former it was something like 20 positive out of 30k+ and the latter was less than 10 positive but not sure out of how many...
