A male employee found "behaving suspiciously" in a women's toilet on Mediacorp's premises has been dismissed.
SINGAPORE – The employee sacked by broadcaster Mediacorp on June 10 has been arrested for voyeurism.
In response to queries from The Straits Times, the police said on June 11 that they were alerted to a case of voyeurism at 1 Stars Avenue – the address of the Mediacorp Campus – at about 2pm on June 10. They arrested a 28-year-old man in relation to the case.
The man’s employment was terminated with immediate effect on June 10 after he was found “behaving suspiciously” inside a women’s toilet on the company’s premises, said a spokesperson for Mediacorp. The spokesperson described the offence as a “serious incident” and said the matter had been referred to the police, adding that the company was unable to provide further details at this time.
Police investigations are ongoing.
