1st Battlestar Galactica, now The Mummies ride also shut down

I dun think it was a case of miscalculation but more a case of over stating the strength of the concrete like "toh gong jian liao"...thou I don't know if the deformed bars used was also up to strength...

yah that cheeby developer was corrupt. the govt traced back all their projects and did safety checks on all of them. that's why one jc campus had to be evicted, demolish and rebuild.

That is why i say they better restudy and send all the steel for the minimum yield strength cos what i know is that the gov since last year decided to upgrade the standard of steel used and many were caught with their pants down...so many resort to "upgrading" the steel strength on paper...thou i am not saying this is the case for RWS but then again who knows....

better be safe than sorry. if a rollercoaster got mishap it will be condemn forever by all tourists one. no sane person would ride on rollercoaster with safety record.
last time Lky can take the singapore flyer after it got fix. this time they are not so lucky to get such a powderful endorsor.

Where's Starbuck and Apollo when you need them?

Does everyone remember the very very old tv series Battlestar Galactica, with Richard Hatch as Apollo and Dirk Benedict as Starbuck?

"Revenge of the Mummies."

With such names on Pulau Mati, hard to imagine it will be working. LOL!

The new Battlestar Galactica series is too dark & serious. :(

The one with Lorne Green was more interesting & fun, it was a series that even young children could watch.

They have got team of PRC engineers to QA:-)

i will never trust the fecking workmanship and construction in sg. the architects may be world crass; the workers are definitely no class.

Lagi worse....I hope those steel structures are not from PRC cos if they are...then better dun play play and start to pray pray...those fucking PRC steel suppliers are well known for undercutting on actual size up till 10%....

talking about that, i think the workmanship today is going back to the early days of the 70s where housing was build en mass without consideration for quality...

yup, speed over quality. and many of the workers are ill-trained and ill-prepared for steel and concrete work. inspectors need to do more and spot check on basic stuff such as how morons mix materials. are instructors, inspectors and supervisors well trained and qualified in the first place?
