Average American Male Too Fat To Ride The New Mario Kart Ride At Universial​

The new Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge ride has been criticised for prohibiting riders with waist sizes measuring 40-inches or more from riding as a safety regulation.

The current average US waist size for men stands at 40.5 inches and women at 38.7 inches, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
People are criticising the new Super Nintendo attraction as 'blatantly fatphobic' because this means plus-sized visitors will likely not be able to ride the new attraction. However, others feel that the decision is justified.

Universal Studios officials told Gizmodo the 40-inch waistline guideline is not absolute and that plus-sized visitors may still be able to ride Bowser’s Challenge. They said:

This guideline is not a specific restriction, but is instead meant to encourage guests to try a test seat or to speak with one of our team members before riding so they may comfortably and safely board the ride.

In the Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge ride, visitors will compete as part of Team Mario in a battle against rival characters.

Super Nintendo World theme park is scheduled to open at Universal Studios Hollywood on 17th February.
