the whole issue of this GST thingy is just another conjob and great reasoning from of our million$ gov. so is the IRs. and soon, so is the CPF MEDISHIELD LIFE.

they need to crop up a reason to leech the people dry.

gst rebates are nothing but another ruse to temporarily make the local sheep happy. after that it would be harder screwing. the cycle always repeats.

the biggest con job is the retarded opposition parties telling U what they are going to do when they get elected yet have no plans to fund those things.

Even with a much higher income tax and VAT/GST than us, most western countries have to borrow money to fund those schemes which are forever sucking the lifeblood out of the countries. The decline of western civilization have never been more obvious. If U allow retarded opposition parties to run the country we will be run to the ground faster than U realize

Money does not come from the sky. U want free healthcare, U need money. U want to help the poor U need money. Taxing only the rich is the dumbest way to do it. The world have been globalized. i fully agree that the opps are clueless about solutions that could have helped to better the life of citizens. then again, even if they were to come out with the solution, it wouldn't be efficiently expedited. it's the pap which runs the show. pap can just easily plagiarised the proposal and claim credit for it like what many think that's what the pap has just done.

other countries' gov is NOT running their countries as an incorporation like ours. our gov is a business gov which boast and brag about the obscene profits they make every year. if that's the case, why can't they diffuse the profits and share with the citizens. they can increase their own obscene salaries and claim their rights to it and yet the citizens couldn't share their profitable harvests.

all we heard is how big our "reserves" have grown over the year. now, does that make any difference in our life it the reserves are just held there in custody by the gov. to us, it's like just an imagination the pap is feeding onto us. idiotically, citizens buy that. incidentally the only one who dare to suggest probing into it was the late ong teng cheong. look what happened to him in the end.

the sucess of singapore isn't a credit fully and duly due to the pap. it's a fortune that the paps are blessed with such citizens that do not
ask, probe, demand, refute or even protest if some of the lame policies they cough out is just pure LAME!

singapore is no less different from north korean. the people there don't and can't complain or protest. here, isn't it the same?
