Finally, “独孤虾” Low Keh Khiang, has announced that he wants to walk alone and forge his own path, without desiring any other non-Vichy WP Opposition supporters to joining him.



Vichy WP is basically a very conservative party with its base supporters being hardcore conservatives. Uniting them with liberal supporters is an “unrealistic vision and an impossible dream”, “because such a union would not work out well.” Vichy WP “will not only not be able to progress, but will conversely end up disintegrating.”………just like SDP back in 1997 when the then conservative Chiam tried to work with the liberal Chee.


In fact, “独孤虾” seems to be blaming the liberal Opposition supporters for the “disarray in the Opposition camp” as he points finger at them for causing the decline of SDP:

So, Vichy WP, which has never ever spoken up on any liberal issue both inside and outside the parliament, will continue to ignore and abandon the pleas of all liberal Opposition supporters, as promised by “独孤虾”.
