Good news! Tipper truck rams into vermin cyclist, sending her straight to heaven! Give the tipper truck driver a medal!

Singapore is small. Roads are narrow and tight.

Singapore roads are really not conducive for cycling. This is fact.

LTA can't see this and still wants to push for more to cycle to get around.

Self entitled cyclists also would rather risk death than accept this fact.

SINGAPORE – Three people are assisting with investigations into an accident on May 22 involving four heavy vehicles on the AYE.

In response to queries from The Straits Times, police said they were alerted to an accident involving two trailers, a bus and a lorry on the AYE in the direction of Tuas at about 2.15pm.

A video uploaded on the Singapore Incidents Facebook group shows the vehicles stationary in the left-most lane. At the head of the accident is one trailer, which is followed by a lorry, the second trailer and then a tour bus from StarMart Express.

I don't see a pinarello or specialised by the roadside. Looks like just another tiongbu riding rental bike on the road

I love those beautiful dark blue police tents. Everybody needs to go camping in them.

Ban cycling in Sickipoora. Ramesh and fellow cuntrymen are tired of sharing roads with cyclists who never pay road tax.

Anyone who lives in Pasir Ris can tell you that weekends are sleep-in days for drivers. Large group of riders in the morning with larger than 10 riders at a go.

It is a HORRIFYING title from the threadstarter........Is the threadstarter a sub-human whom happened to be able to achieve Human abilities in reading and writing?

Each life is precious and MEANS SOMETHING SPECIAL TO ANOTHER, even if the other is a stranger....We are a Civilization and no longer live in caves or jungles.

It is comprehensible that drivers, whom had paid high premiums for their cars, OR driving trucks where every minute is another minute to earn an extra dollar, would DEMAND SELFISHLY that they OWN the roads, in our already small land, BUT we Humanity NEED NOT resort to KILLING fellow Humans sharing our roads.

Do KNOW, cyclists and pedestrians TOO pay taxes in many other forms to use OUR roads, such as GST, income taxes, work to bring in REVENUES to our shared treasury, etc, etc, to uplift others lives in social expenditures such as med care, education, security, infrastructure, etc.

The bicycle no doubt is a mechanical device, but is INCOMPARABLE to an ICE, Hybrid or EV vehicle with SAFETLY mechanisms built in as well as safety distances, etc, that one HAVE to observed in order to get a driving license. Thus, the FAULT WILL lay with the driver of such advanced vehicles than a bicycle or pedestrian should harm and hurt happens.

The insignificant nobody me drives and often met with obnoxious cyclists, would rage, but learnt since as a kid to ALWAYS keep cool. One's time, while presumed precious WOULD NEVER JUSTIFY THE HARMING AND HURT TO OTHERS.

In reality, it takes only a FEW seconds to filter to another lane, after observing the traffic flow even if heavy, with SIGNAL lights on, and a wave of hand, and to thank other drivers whom would slow down to allow one to overtake safely, to avoid the slow mechanical device of a bicycle....

Our Elected govt had done what we could - special days such as weekends when our busy port city would have less traffic on the roads, and even created safe cycle paths for cyclist to conduct their necessary health exercises in peace and safety, but even such paths would cross with busy traffic too, as our country is just too small.

All it takes is just a little consideration for OTHERS sharing our limited roads, by BOTH cyclists and motorists....... each life is precious and means something special to another....condolences to the victims' families of murderous road rage......
