If Malaysia offers Sinkapore only a tiny area as its independent state, would Sinkapore accept? Same logic applies in the Middle East.

Israel has no issues with the Arabs. 20% of Israelis are Arabs and they are way better off being Israeli than they would be in some other Muslim country.

The majority of SG Malays realise that they are better off living in S'pore vs moving to Malaysia. There is no affirmative action in SG favouring the majority race, but special privileges are given to the Malays. The only thing stopping them from rising to greater heights is their own weakness.
