Sinkies fully deserve what's coming for them (us). Leong Mun Wai did his best to speak up for sinkies regarding this CECA problem, and got kicked out of parliament.
20 years already, it's too late to do do anything now. They not only took the cushy high-pay jobs, also local institutions like Fairprice and Singaporepools. Things can only get worse, not better from here. like the ALS disease. Everyday is worse than the day before.

Thankfully, my parents had the foresight to buy 2 landed properties in the late 1960s when it was possible for a couple holding PME jobs to afford such homes. They still live in one while the other gives them really good rental income.
