Robin Williams had a serious illness that would have destroyed his very being before killing him in a horrible manner.
He was wise to cut things short.
Suicide rates are highest in developed countries with extensive welfare benefits. Humans were designed to live challenging lives. It gives meaning to one's existence. When everything is smooth sailing life becomes meaningless.
