I am sure your stand has been rock solid and unwavering from day one, but don't forget, many of us here have also pointed out the touch of personal vindictiveness with which you carried your words. That has not changed, even to this day.
We in this forum can only react to what has already been published. I personally know YSL has hurt the feelings (not necessarily had sex or intimacy with) of quite a number of women under his charge and exploited women habitually. Now that more facts have emerged, we can afford to react. Before they do, however, responsible speech must prevail.
Unlike you, some of us here don't have the habit of jumping to conclusions and putting the cart before the horse. This is not short sightnedness, only responsible behaviour.

Let's look at the positive, this will force opposition parties to focus also on developing proper economic policies to convince voters in the next election instead on solely relying on moral issues which is still important. Though the amount and the quality of official statistics will continue to hamper the opposition. This will force opposition to try and attract more academically bright candidates to analyze issues and also point people towards having more awareness of the problems at hand on this poor little country which is finding its options diminishing in this new world order and also what it meant to be a nation, namely what does it really takes to be called a nation?
I hope people like Yee Jenn Jong could be given more support in his ideas about education. It is important. Maybe I should elaborate later on this, but a country direction and future depends quite a lot on this aspect.

If I were you, I would start reading his comments for the value they bring to the local politics. They are politically incisive.
I agree that WP remains the best bet, but partly because other parties still have not gotten their act together. There is SDP which I made a bold prediction that they may very well equal WP in 2016, as well as the TJS-led coalition which IMO has the greatest potential, but it remains to be seen whether they can consolidate and re-focus their energies rather than get bogged down by personality issues.
This scandal will hurt WP because as more and more dirt surfaces about YSL's exploitative behaviour, people will see WP's silence as damning. I suspect YSL did not come clean to LTK and SL about the whole matter but instead waited to see how far it would explode, in which case he is guilty of an even larger offence.

Its the pattern of behaviour that is important. A few might frown but many would turn a blind eye to a professor who marries his former student. But let's say the same professor goes on to have an affair with the janitor, and then a liaison with the department clerk. You could say they are not strictly under him, but it shows a consistent pattern of exploiting those who are subordinate in rank. I believe that is the pt Scroo was making.
