PAP govt removes senior police officers from posts

Not releasing so many at one time is different from saying there is none at the moment.

You seem to have something up your sleeve. Let's have it.

GD is from intel background, let him tell you about it. These two cases are different and it is strange that they want to portray it as the same. Let's wait and see what happen next.

You flatter me. From intel background is no big deal. I have no inside knowledge on these 2 cases. If the woman is involved with both subjects, why can't portray as the same?

Just read the last sentence :

"Asked if others have been arrested in connection with these cases, the CPIB declined to confirm."

Goh Meng Seng

Have you heard the CPIB giving you full facts of case machiam statement of facts even before case goes to court? They have always used the same phrase for decades. Case is on-going, how to comment?

There should be no illusions that those make it to the top or on the way towards the top of the PAPzi scheme are far from upright people. They have been brought up by kowtowing to wrongs even though they know what is morally right. They have close knowledge of or know of colleagues who have experienced first hand the dastardly mannerisms of a fascist political party. When LKY ensured that only his legal firm was legally allowed to provide conveyancing services for HDB purchases, it started the rot towards what we see today. What these two did wrong was to get caught. There were others who were also caught but were let off or allowed to leave the country. I believe that foreigners are involved in this case and hence there is little that can be done to push the garbage under the rug.

When people like Saw gets appointed as CEO of SMRT, the writing is already on the wall. There are many more such cases all over the PAPzi scope of operations within and outside of Singapore. Those priviledged few will only follow what has been done believing that they will not get hauled up. With the PAPzis involved in so much economic and political activity do you really believe that such incidences are so infrequent?

With money and the right connections you don't need passport to run.
Btw how did Phey Yew Kok got away?

Heard rumour that Phey's in Taiwan,in the company of fair-skinned taiwanese mei mei.
Also, David Rasif in Pattaya,in the company of sexy puying.
If u got money, forget about little Red Dot .

PAP is a clean and honest govt..would it allow this to happen?

LKY and son and family members received huge discounts when purchasing properties. How can they call themselves to be clean? The rot starts from the top and then trickles down. Those that are caught must have been doing it for a long time and were just unlucky or lacked discretion. In the meantime, all the craps associated with the PAPzis will continue unabated until another greedy and clumsy elite gets caught with their pants down.

Absolutely. All LKY's previous claims of how above-board in his dealings with the commercial world went down the drain during the HPL saga. His projection as a squeaky clean political leader was badly tarnished. From then, the people had doubts about his integrity and never again believe all that he said. His standing with the public as a totally incorruptible minister was lost and he never regained it.

He related at length in Parliament on the circumstances surrounding the HPL discount. It was covered extensively and intensively on TV. Ever the charismatic speaker many were mesmerised by LKY as he explained where he needed to buy the HPL property. He told sob stories of how his fragile often fell and therefore needed a house without stairs for safety sake. People were moved by his filial piety. But his victory with that speech was very short-lived. As people reflected afterwards, all LKY did was to justify why he needed and bought that HPL property. He did not satisfactorily explained why he took the discount offered and not reported it. The people never look at LKY with the same eyes ever again. The people began to speak of how public officials do things to benefit themselves while meted out most severe punishments on the juniors for the slightest of corruption cases. People's reaction to any public corruption case is one of "If the top is crooked, how to expect the bottom to be straight?"

hahaha.......this happened many years and if pple really dispise lky so much after the incident, u put any tom, dick and harry together to form a team would have beaten lky at the polls hands down....lew lian pao chiak.........always wondered why this have not happened...guess the opp parties must be kuku like kukubird....or someone thinks that the well is the sky......

CAD soared after a secondee from AGC was put in place. It became very professional. Its the same reason why commander in chief of the US armed forces is a civilian and not a soldier.

Are we talking about Ong Hian Sun, who was seconded from AGC to be the Director CAD? I believe he has returned to the AGC.

Yes. The first secondee was Lawrence Ang who was direct report of AG. While collar crime was rising in sophistication they needed specialist guidance.

if it was some other civil servant in power who bought under those circumstances, cpib might jump on it as corruption. but for lky, special circumstances. he say what can he do if people give him 2 eggs for char kway teow. right.
